Editorial Policy

UmaTierList separates factual catalog data from editorial evaluation.

Database pages answer what an entity is and what documented mechanics it has. Decision tools answer how useful an option may be for a stated Scenario, goal, investment level and optional race or build context. Rarity, stars, level, uncaps and a larger numerical value never become a universal tier automatically.

An editorial evaluation must disclose its context, method, review date and any material uncertainty. An unevaluated entity is shown as Not evaluated for this context; it does not inherit a rating from another Scenario.

We preserve conflicts and pending review states until evidence and human review resolve them. Corrections should be documented promptly and should not rewrite provenance history silently.

UmaTierList currently has no paid rankings, sponsored placements or affiliate-driven recommendations. If that changes, the relationship and its effect on editorial independence must be disclosed before publication.
